This ultrasound development course is based on the principles of ‘spaced learning’ and will enable practitioners to develop their knowledge and skills in a staged approach.
The first stage is an online learning app with seven modules on the ‘Introduction to the Basics of Ultrasound’ with concepts, uses and safety aspects included. The second stage is a hands-on session where practitioners can use ultrasound to practice identification of structures and explore in detail the uses of ultrasound in practice. This session is face-to-face with the trainers for practitioners to use their own handheld device to gain more experience in its function. The third stage is a scientific injectable session where the ultrasound scanner will be used to look at specific regions and inject under ultrasound guidance.
